Archived Update — March, 2006


Greetings from C-CIARN Agriculture,

C-CIARN Agriculture is now in a transition phase as plans for developing and maintaining our services and resources are solidified. Thank you all for your continued support and interest in climate change impacts and adaptation for Canadian agriculture. We will continue to send monthly updates for the near future and look forward to working with those in industry, research, and policy to develop effective climate risk management strategies for the challenges and opportunities to come.

1. International Development Research Centre has several job openings related to the Climate Change Adaptation Support Program for Action Research and Capacity Development in Africa. They are listed at: http://www.idrc.ca/careers/

2. The Global Environment Facility (GEF) of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) seeks three highly qualified individuals to develop and implement projects in Climate Change Adaptation, with a focus in capacity development. We are seeking highly motivated candidates with demonstrated strategic and leadership skills, programming experience, and preferably with a background in climate science, vulnerability and adaptation, and development economics.
