The Senate Standing Committee on Agriculture and Forestry has just released its final report - Climate Change: We are at Risk - with
a strong recommendation for substantial increases in funding and allocation of resources towards climate change impacts and adaptation research. The full report

A news release (Oct. 15/03) entitled, "Climate Change and U.S. Agriculture: Benefits Dwindle as Picture Sharpens", from the National Center
for Atmospheric Research in the United States reports the following:
Computer-based simulations of U.S. agriculture show that, by the year 2060, the benefits of climate change to American croplands could be
less than previous work had indicated. A team of scientists from the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) and several universities
found that finer-scale simulations tend to reduce projected benefits and increase projected losses for a wide range of crops across most parts of the nation.
